NuSTEAM - Nuclear Science in Texas to Enhance and Advance Mentees

NuSteam

This is a collaborative effort by five Texas-based universities that runs an undergraduate traineeship project under the guidelines of the Department of Energy TBD-NP (Research Traineeships to Broaden and Diversify the Nuclear Physics community) program. The collaboration consists of the University of Houston (UH), University of Texas - Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), University of Texas – El Paso (UTEP), Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) and Lamar University.
As well, the NuPUMAS program is modeled off of the successful NuSTEAM program, NuPUMAS aims to help students overcome barriers by setting up a Texas-based trainee-ship program to recruit cohorts of Underrepresented Minorities (URM) students and provide them with a program allowing to overcome such barriers.
