Our speaker for the upcoming student seminar series is Afham. Afham is a PhD student at The University of Sydney working (with Christopher Ferrie as his advisor) broadly in quantum computing and information. More specifically, he is interested in quantum tomography and optimization problems in quantum information, for which he uses convex and nonconvex methods. He will be talking about his broad research and recent results along with life in Sydney.
